At what3words, I was responsible for designing the majority of our web pages, covering a range of topics including product details, usage guides, case studies and new partnerships announcements.
I used Figma to design desktop, tablet and mobile versions of the pages.
what is what3words
what3words is a technology startup operating in the geolocation industry.
It has developed a unique addressing system that assigns a distinctive combination of **three words to every 3x3 meter square on the planet. This innovative system simplifies complex addresses, providing a user-friendly way for people to communicate precise locations.
Imagine you're on a beach trying to meet friends, navigating through a forest, or requesting a delivery to a specific spot without a traditional address – what3words makes these scenarios simpler. Instead of dealing with lengthy and convoluted addresses, users can share just three words that pinpoint their exact location.
It has found widespread adoption across industries, including logistics and delivery services, emergency response, travel and tourism, events and festivals, utilities and infrastructure, automotive and navigation systems, humanitarian aid, outdoor and recreation activities, e-commerce, app development, and public services, providing a user-friendly solution for precise location communication through its unique three-word addressing system.
Localisation 🌍
I worked on the localisation of some of the main pages into five additional languages.
Localization is the process of adapting content, products, or services to meet the linguistic, cultural, and technical needs of a specific audience or region.

Astrea
Responsive website for a sustainability firm.
Astrea has undergone a transformation, introducing a groundbreaking tool leveraging AI technology for sustainability initiatives. Furthermore, the company's mission has evolved to encompass both consultancy services and educating users about sustainability practices and reporting.
I helped with the change by designing a fresh look and feel for Astrea's brand and website, aligning them with the company's new focus on sustainability consultancy and education.
Following an holistic analysis of the website, we conducted an evaluation of the new features, prioritizing them based on their significance:
+ Introduction of an AI page
+ Implementation of a Wiki page
The redesign involved the development of new branding elements to refresh the overall look and signify a shift in purpose.
The website has both a dark and light version, ensuring versatility for user preferences.
It is fully responsive, seamlessly adapting to both desktop and mobile devices. Additionally, plans are underway to optimize it for iPad users, further enhancing accessibility across different platforms.
In addition to developing the website, I also created the visual identity and design system.
This involved developing a consistent and identifiable brand style that represented the company's beliefs and goals.
